Shape Robots

For the past few weeks in Maths, we have been focusing on 2D shapes that form together to create new shapes. For example, we learned that four triangles can actually make a rectangle. How cool is that? We also learned about semi circles and quarter circles. Can you guess how many quarter circles come together to form a full circle? Ask us for the answer!

As we have been working so hard on our shapes, Mrs S thought it would be fun to draw robots made out of a variety of 2D shapes. We had 20 minutes to draw the best shape robot ever! We then gave our robots to a partner and they had to find all the different shapes and tell us how many of each shape we used. It was so much fun and quite tricky to do.
