This term our class is going to have a
strong focus on values such as independence, responsibility, excellence and perseverance.
Each of these values teach vital life skills and lessons, which even as adults
we use each and every day. Values will be incorporated into the teaching of all
learning areas. I really encourage you to support your child in developing
these values by providing them with opportunities to demonstrate independence
and responsibility. Things such as packing their own bags for school, walking
to class independently or encouraging them to remember their library books and
homework files are simple, yet effective ways, to help instill these values.
Throughout Term 3, we also have many
exciting events to look forward to such as the NAIDOC Day Incursion and
Lapathon.
